Hello, my name is Heather Sherman and I welcome you to Heather Aviation Ltd.; where the coffee is always on and visitors are always welcome.
Heather Aviation Ltd., or H.A.L. for short, is a fictitious, virtual aircraft refurbishing and painting company. It is located at the Fairchild International airport (KCLM) in Port Angeles, Washington, U.S.A. The company also owns a number of assorted vintage aircraft which are available for private charter. For users of FS2004, also known as CoF, or FS9, you can obtain this business scenery in the file library at Avsim.com or by clicking on the picture below..

A special thanks goes to Joe Watson who was kind enough to create this add-on scenery at my request.
When I’m not involved in a flight, I am usually not far from the shop, even when at home which is just down the road a ways where I relax with my hobby of horses and creating gourmet cheeses (that's what all the cows are for).
Again, where I am at, you’ll always find a pot of coffee on and guests are always welcome. Swing on by anytime. If I’m not there my brother is always happy to show folks around. You can get there by car, boat or plane, but if you fly in, be sure it's STOL capable or you may become part of the ranch landscaping.
For FS2004, check out “Heather’s Ranch” (WAHR), another fine creation by Joe Watson.

All virtual fantasies aside, I have been involved in numerous “add-on” projects for Microsoft’s Flight Simulator software, but my best known claim to fame is my numerous aircraft repaints; hence the creation of my fantasy business located where I wish to live, should I ever hit it big with the lotto.
Besides repainting, my collecting of freeware, add-on scenery for MSFS has all but become another hobby unto itself. I am always on the prowl for anything I can find, regardless of how obscure the location. From this interest I have gone a step farther in creating a directory of freeware scenery for FS2004. Initially I would compile a catalog and upload it to Avsim. The drawback to this however, is that with screenshots, it results in rather large files which are a hindrance to those still using dial-up connections as well as the listings being out of date after a few weeks.
Since I download results of my search on almost a daily basis, I thought it would be more efficient to list all of this material on a web site; alas, where you find yourself now. A special thanks goes to Bill “Hawkeyez” Mansell who, without his extensive help, this web site would not have been possible. The scenery listings can be found in the “Gallery” section of this site and I will attempt to keep them updated on a frequent basis.
In previous publications of my scenery catalogs, I have discovered that I will never be considered an expert on geographical locations of some contries or regions, as many mistakes were made. Therefore, the listings on this website are now arranged as per information obtained from the Central Intelligence Agency's "World Factbook." So, should you find any errors, please let me know but don't complain to me, complain to the CIA; they're used to being blamed for everything anyway. Also, I would appreciate any information regarding scenery that you may know of but do not see in my listings.
Besides collecting scenery, I still repaint aircraft, albeit on a ‘hit and miss’ schedule. This is something I do for pleasure and I must periodically go on a hiatus so as not to burn myself out at it. Therefore, regarding repaint requests, I will not promise anything. Sometimes I have multiple requests and it may be weeks before I can get to a new one. However, bribery and/or gratuitous offers have been known to get paint jobs moved up on the priority list.
This web site will be in a constant state of updating and hopefully you will find what you're looking for. If not, hang in there and keep checking back. In the meantime, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy your visit.
Sincerest regards,
Heather Anne Sherman
